Interview with my Grandpa, James Konek about Climater change.

I Interview My Grandpa. James Konek about Inuit Health and Climate change. James has been telling me stories about his life time when he was a young boy even before i join this Project he has told me some stories How inuit lived and survived in the arctic. My grandpa had said that Inuit use to be healthy, but they also be hungry at times. Inuit Survived by folloing the Animals around them mostly caribou and some fishing spots where they can catch fish to survive when there are no caribou around the area during the winter time.

When i intervied my grandpa i ask him some questions about what he has notice about the changing climate change in the Arctic. He said that he has been watching the weather since he learn how to perdect the weather what is the weather going to be like the next day. He said that Inuit use to look at the sky to see how the weather is going to be like the next day. One thing he said was that the weather is warmer now and less blizzareds in Arviat. Normally when theres blizzard the houses across the street is usaly Not visable and the wind would be srtonger, there would be 1 week of srotms and be really cold. James said that for the last 2 years there hasn’t really been a blizzard in Arviat, he said that the weather has change a lot and it’s getting harder to perdict the weather. another thing he said about the moon, the moon use to go dissapare  at the same spot for a very long time but now the moon is moving more oval, and move wider and it’s apparing a little bit longer. like not it how is used to be.

Hearing my grandpa’s telling his stories are wonderful and has done many things in liofe and know so much about (Inuit Qauyimayatukagit - inuit traditional Knowladge) he has been teaching me and jordan a lot of thing a told us how it was like to live in the land.
